The tortoise breeding station at Puerto Villamil, Isla Isabela (Albemarle), Galápagos. The trays covered with wire mesh hold young tortoises to protect them from rats. By the time they are about 8 years old, they are too big for a dog's mouth, so are invulnerable and can be released into the wild.
