NMES (Northern Mill Engine Society) in the former cotton store of the Atlas Mills in Bolton. Engine no10 - a 'MacNaughted' beam engine of ~1870, rebuilt by Woodhouse and Mitchell in 1904 to provide a second, high pressure, cylinder. 'Barring' the engine - a crowbar is used to turn the engine past top dead centre so that it both starts and revolves in the correct direction.
