This is possibly number 2 on my Desert Island Photographs list. It was taken in derelict coal staithes in King's Cross, now long gone. They may have been on the site of the British Library, or under St Pancras International. I was a student, using my first decent camera - an extremely well-used 1930s Leica III with a 5cm Summitar, which I bought for £30. That doesn't sound much, but it was nearly 10% of my student grant - three weeks income.
